Librarian for a School in Karachi, Pakistan

A reputable school in Karachi, Pakistan is looking for a skilled and experienced Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the school's library and providing students with access to educational resources. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1800$ per month and includes accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an organized and efficient library system
- Select, acquire, catalog and classify books and other materials
- Assist students in finding resources for their research projects
- Plan and implement library programs and activities to promote literacy and reading culture among students
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum-based learning through the use of library resources
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of all library materials
- Train students on how to use the library effectively
- Ensure that the library is a safe, welcoming, and conducive learning environment for students

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Librarian in an educational setting
- Knowledge of library management systems
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others

Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with the Pakistani education system. The ideal candidate should also have strong knowledge of different genres of literature suitable for children at various age levels.
