Preservation Architect


We are a well-established architectural firm based in Bergen, seeking a highly skilled Preservation Architect to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring they maintain their architectural integrity while also meeting modern safety standards.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to identify areas in need of preservation or restoration
- Develop detailed preservation plans that adhere to local and national regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure preservation work is carried out effectively
- Monitor the progress of preservation projects and make adjustments as necessary
- Prepare reports and documentation on the history of the building or structure and the preservation work carried out
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and techniques in historic preservation

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in historic preservation
- Strong understanding of local and national regulations related to historic preservation
- Excellent project management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month for this part-time position.

Location:
This job is located in Bergen, a charming coastal city known for its rich history and stunning natural surroundings. While we prefer candidates who are already located in Bergen or nearby areas, we are open to considering applicants from other locations if they are able to relocate.
