Executive Chef for Indian Restaurant in Khasab, Oman
We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to lead our team at an Indian restaurant in the picturesque city of Khasab, Oman. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and creating delicious and authentic Indian dishes for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Develop new menu items that showcase traditional Indian flavors and modern techniques.
- Ensure that all food is prepared to high quality standards and served in a timely manner.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food handling, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create seasonal menus and special event menus.
- Handle any guest complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service promptly.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting, preferably with experience in Indian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Attention to detail with a focus on food presentation and quality.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
- Good communication skills (English proficiency preferred).
- Must be willing to relocate to Khasab without accommodation.
Salary:
$1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Working Hours:
Full-time position with 6-day work week (48 hours/week)
