Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Contract)



We are seeking a skilled and creative Executive Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Khasab, Oman. As an Indian cuisine specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Indian restaurant, from menu creation to kitchen management. This is a contract position with visa sponsorship available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus for the Indian restaurant, ensuring authenticity and creativity
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of quality and hygiene
- Monitor food costs and inventory levels to ensure profitability
- Collaborate with other departments to plan events and special promotions featuring Indian cuisine
- Maintain relationships with local suppliers to ensure availability of fresh ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end establishment specializing in Indian cuisine
- In-depth knowledge of traditional and contemporary Indian recipes and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills and ability to train and motivate a diverse team
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Understanding of food cost control and inventory management
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field
- Previous experience working in the Middle East or similar cultural setting
- Knowledge of other regional cuisines within India
