Pastry Chef (Egyptian or Filipino)
We are a high-end restaurant in Herzliya, seeking a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts and pastries for our menu. We are specifically looking for candidates who are Egyptian or Filipino, as we want to incorporate authentic flavors and techniques from these cultures into our desserts.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a wide variety of desserts and pastries, including cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, and more
- Design new menu items that incorporate unique Egyptian or Filipino flavors and ingredients
- Ensure all desserts are presented in an attractive manner and meet high-quality standards
- Manage inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies, ordering when necessary
- Train and supervise pastry assistants to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus that complement main dishes
- Follow all health and safety regulations when handling food products
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- In-depth knowledge of Egyptian or Filipino pastry techniques and ingredients
- Creative mindset with the ability to design visually appealing desserts
- Ability to manage inventory, budgeting, and ordering for the pastry department
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
