Executive Chef
We are hiring an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to join our team in Lusail, Qatar. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality food and service for our restaurant. You will also be responsible for menu planning, food costing, inventory management, and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and creating unique dishes, as well as strong leadership skills to manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff. This is a temporary position with the opportunity for permanent employment based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations including food production, menu planning, and inventory management
- Ensure high-quality food is served by maintaining strict quality control standards
- Develop new menu items based on market trends and customer preferences
- Train and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food quality and service
- Monitor food costs and implement cost-effective measures without compromising on quality
- Maintain kitchen hygiene standards in accordance with local health codes
- Collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure a smooth dining experience for customers
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in cooking techniques
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns related to the food served
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of international cuisines and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
- Proficient in menu planning, costing, and inventory management
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of local health codes and regulations related to food safety
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dishes while adhering to dietary restrictions or preferences
Education:
A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred but not required. Previous experience and a proven track record of success in a similar role will be considered.
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is 1500$ monthly, with potential for increase based on performance.
Location:
This position is located in Lusail, Qatar.
