Radio Technician - Svalbard, Contract Position

We are hiring a skilled Radio Technician to join our team in Svalbard on a contract basis. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of radio equipment used for communication purposes. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to ensure that all radio systems are functioning properly and meet safety standards.

Responsibilities:
- Install and set up radio equipment according to technical specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of radio systems to identify any issues or malfunctions
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment or components
- Follow safety protocols when working with high voltage equipment
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on radio systems
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers on complex projects or repairs
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in radio technology

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or training is preferred
- Proven experience as a Radio Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of radio frequencies, transmitters, receivers, antennas, and other related equipment
- Familiarity with safety procedures when working with electronic equipment
- Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals for troubleshooting purposes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Svalbard. Candidates who are already located in Svalbard will be given preference.

Accommodation:
This is a contract position without accommodation provided. Candidates must arrange their own housing during the duration of the contract.
