Junior Accountant - Muscat, Oman


We are a leading financial services company in Muscat, Oman and we are seeking a highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the accounting process including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. This is a contract job with accommodation provided and visa sponsorship available. No previous experience is required for this entry-level position. Responsibilities:
- Assist with recording and reconciling accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Prepare bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Participate in audit activities as needed
- Support other ad hoc accounting tasks as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or currently pursuing)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles preferred but not required
