Excavator Operator



We are currently seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in Svalbard. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, to dig trenches, holes and foundations for construction projects. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators to dig trenches, holes and foundations according to project specifications
- Safely maneuver the equipment on construction sites
- Perform routine maintenance on the equipment and keep it in good working condition
- Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical issues that may arise
- Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Keep detailed records of work performed and materials used

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating excavators
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications
- Skilled in using hand tools for minor repairs and maintenance
- Physically fit with ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Norwegian is a plus)
- Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and potentially travel for projects outside of Svalbard

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month. In addition, we offer a free visa and ticket for non-local candidates.
