Surveyor Assistant

As a Surveyor Assistant, you will work alongside experienced surveyors to assist in the collection and analysis of data related to land, construction, or other projects. This is an entry-level position that provides on-the-job training and opportunities for growth within the company.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and operating survey equipment such as GPS units, total stations, and levels
- Collect data on land features, structures, and other elements using various methods such as traditional surveys, drone technology, or laser scanning
- Record accurate measurements and observations using field notes or electronic devices
- Assist in creating maps, charts, and other visual representations of survey data
- Support senior surveyors in conducting research and analyzing data to identify trends or patterns
- Participate in field work including hiking to remote locations and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for accurate readings

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in a related field (e.g. construction, engineering)
- Familiarity with surveying tools such as total stations and GPS units
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work including hiking and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to record accurate measurements
- Basic computer skills for data entry and map creation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

This position offers a salary of $900 per month with potential for growth within the company. The city of Bansko offers a beautiful location with access to outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and water sports.
