Interpreter (Hindi/English) - Clairvaux, France


As an Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately interpret spoken dialogues and translate written texts from Hindi to English and vice versa. You will work in various settings such as conferences, meetings, and legal proceedings to ensure smooth communication between parties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Listen carefully to conversations and accurately interpret the meaning of spoken words from Hindi to English and vice versa
- Translate written materials such as documents, reports, and correspondence from Hindi to English and vice versa
- Explain cultural nuances to help parties understand each other's perspectives
- Ensure accuracy of interpretation by using appropriate terminology and understanding of context
- Maintain confidentiality of all information exchanged during interpreting assignments
- Provide sight translation services when necessary
- Act as a cultural liaison between parties by identifying and addressing potential misunderstandings or conflicts
- Keep up-to-date with industry terminology in both languages

Requirements:
- Fluent in both Hindi and English (written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of cultural differences between India and France
- Excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in both languages
- Ability to maintain impartiality in sensitive situations
- Strong memory retention skills
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with translation software is a plus

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or related field preferred but not required
- Proven experience as an Interpreter or Translator
- Certification from a recognized interpreting program preferred
- Familiarity with industry-specific terminology

Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Working Hours: As an Interpreter, you may have irregular working hours depending on the needs of clients. This may include weekends or evenings.

Location: Clairvaux, France
