Contract Accountant in Bergen, Norway

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Bergen, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in financial data
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1400 per month.

Location:
This is a contract position located in Bergen, Norway. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own accommodation.
