Data Mining Specialist

We are in need of a highly skilled and experienced Data Mining Specialist to join our team in Lahore on a contract basis. As a Data Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for extracting and analyzing large amounts of data to identify patterns and trends, and provide valuable insights to inform business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data mining techniques and tools, as well as excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets from various sources
- Applying data mining techniques such as clustering, regression analysis, and pattern recognition to identify trends and patterns
- Developing models and algorithms to extract meaningful insights from the data
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
- Presenting findings and insights in clear visualizations or reports
- Staying updated on industry trends, advancements in data mining tools, and best practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- Proven work experience as a Data Mining Specialist or similar role
- Expertise in statistical analysis software (e.g. R, SAS)
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop) is a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear manner
