Executive Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Washington D.C.)



Our high-end fine dining restaurant in Washington D.C. is seeking a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, creating innovative and delicious menus, managing inventory and budgets, and ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in fine dining restaurants
- Proven track record of creating unique and successful menus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Ability to manage inventory, budgets, and maintain food costs
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional food quality and presentation

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and ensuring quality standards are met
- Create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients while considering dietary restrictions
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity, efficiency, and cleanliness
- Manage inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained
- Monitor food costs to ensure budget targets are met
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety standards

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in fine dining restaurants
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment usage, sanitation standards
- Proven ability to lead a team with strong communication skills

We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month plus benefits such as accommodation. This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
