Part-Time Librarian in La-Condamine

We are searching for an experienced and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team on a part-time basis in La-Condamine. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and information inquiries, and maintaining the overall operations of the library.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library materials according to standard cataloging practices
- Provide assistance to patrons with research and information inquiries
- Ensure the library is well-maintained and presentable at all times
- Develop and implement programs and events to promote literacy and engagement within the community
- Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute activities for children, teens, and adults
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies, resources, and trends in library services
- Maintain accurate records of circulation, acquisitions, and other library data
- Assist with collection development by selecting new materials for acquisition

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting or similar role
- Knowledge of standard cataloging practices and information retrieval systems
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist patrons with research needs
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proven computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and online databases
- Familiarity with children's literature and programming is a plus
