Senior Accountant

We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Fonvieille. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, managing budgets and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights to support business decisions
- Manage the budgeting process and provide regular updates on budget vs. actual performance
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with reporting standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support for business initiatives
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior accounting staff members

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) is a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Fluent in English (French proficiency is a plus)
