Commercial Architect
As a Commercial Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of commercial buildings in La-Condamine. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their needs and developing detailed plans and specifications for their projects. You will also be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, and coordinating with contractors to ensure the successful completion of projects. This is a contract position that requires previous experience in commercial architecture and excellent project management skills. Accommodation and visa sponsorship are not provided, so candidates must be able to work in La-Condamine without these benefits. This is an urgent job, so candidates must be able to start immediately.
You should have a strong understanding of building codes and regulations, as well as experience in developing sustainable and innovative designs for commercial buildings. Your communication skills should be excellent as you will need to present your ideas to clients, collaborate with colleagues, and negotiate with contractors. Experience in project management is essential as you will need to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring they meet quality standards and are completed within budget and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to discuss project requirements and develop design concepts
- Create detailed plans, drawings, and specifications for commercial buildings
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure design integrity
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality control
- Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with plans
- Conduct site visits to inspect workmanship and address any issues that arise
- Communicate regularly with clients on project progress
- Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, regulations, and materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial architecture
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural design software
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality assurance
- Experience in project management and budgeting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project needs.
