Construction Manager - Svalbard

We are hiring a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee our projects in the beautiful and unique location of Svalbard. As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of construction projects, from start to finish. You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans and timelines, including cost estimates and resource allocation
- Oversee the selection of contractors and subcontractors for each project
- Monitor progress and ensure that deadlines are met
- Manage budgets and expenses for each project
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and address any issues that arise
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders at all levels
- Collaborate with architects and engineers on design plans
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- At least 3 years of experience in construction management or related role
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Proficiency in project management software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to relocate to Svalbard
