Turner - Experienced Machinist



As an experienced machinist at our manufacturing facility in Split, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machine tools to produce precision metal parts. You will use your skills as a turner to shape and cut metal to specific measurements, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong technical skills, and enjoys working with their hands.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machine tools
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine specifications for parts
- Measure and mark dimensions on metal stock using precision measuring instruments
- Select appropriate tools and materials for each job
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning
- Make adjustments or repairs as needed to maintain quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on machines
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during production
- Keep work area clean and organized

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a turner or machinist
- Strong technical skills with the ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of different types of machine tools and their functions
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing setting
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with excellent manual dexterity

Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with biometric passport technology is a plus
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to communicate effectively in English

Salary: $1700 per month
