Experienced Turner for Industrial Workshop in Os, Norway

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Turner to join our team at our industrial workshop in Os, Norway. As a Turner, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce precision metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. This includes turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, etc.
- Study engineering drawings and specifications to determine the best machining methods and sequences.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of dimensions.
- Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Turner in an industrial setting.
- Proficient in operating various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of metal properties and cutting speeds.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills.
