Instrument Technician
We are in need of a skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Alta, Norway. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and equipment used in industrial processes. Your main duties will include troubleshooting issues, conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance, calibrating instruments, and documenting all work performed.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as an aptitude for problem-solving. You must also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of instruments and equipment
- Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs as needed
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance
- Calibrate instruments according to established standards
- Document all work performed in detailed reports
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure efficient operation of equipment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
