Library Services Coordinator
We are hiring a Library Services Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Ashdod! Our library serves a diverse community, including English-speaking foreigners, and we are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual to oversee the daily operations and services. As the Library Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the library, including budgeting, collection development, programming, and customer service.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the library to ensure efficient operations
- Manage the library's budget and make strategic decisions for collection development
- Coordinate with vendors to acquire new materials and resources for the library
- Plan and execute engaging programming for all ages, including book clubs, author talks, and workshops
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with research requests, locating materials, and using library technology
- Train and supervise staff members on library procedures, customer service standards, and technology use
- Collaborate with community organizations to promote the library's resources and services
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in librarianship and implement new ideas to enhance services
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of current technology trends in libraries
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with diverse communities
- Familiarity with Hebrew language
Salary:
Starting salary of $1300 per month
