Junior Librarian in Sheduva


We are searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Librarian to join our team at the Sheduva Public Library. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the organization and management of library resources, providing exceptional customer service to library patrons, and promoting literacy and learning within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the organization and categorization of library materials according to established systems
- Assist patrons with locating and borrowing materials, as well as answering reference questions
- Monitor and maintain the condition of library materials, reporting any damages or missing items
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy of library records
- Plan and implement programming for children and adults, such as story time, book clubs, and workshops
- Promote library services and resources to the community through outreach efforts
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop collection development strategies that meet the needs of diverse patrons
- Stay informed about current trends in literature, technology, and education to enhance library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred but not required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of cataloging systems and familiarity with online databases
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Fluent in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Willingness to relocate to Sheduva (accommodation provided)
