A boutique bakery in Os, Norway is seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods for our bakery. You will work closely with our Head Chef to develop new menu items and maintain the quality and consistency of our current offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and standards set by the Head Chef
- Decorate and present finished products in an attractive and appealing manner
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders when necessary
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of work area at all times
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items that align with our brand
- Train new pastry staff on proper techniques and procedures
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Knowledge of various baking techniques, pastry decorating methods, and food safety regulations
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
Salary:
