Experienced Formworker in Akron, Canada


We are currently seeking an experienced Formworker to join our construction team in Akron, Canada. As a Formworker, you will play a crucial role in the building process by creating temporary or permanent molds for concrete structures. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that these molds are properly constructed and aligned according to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to determine the type and size of formwork needed
- Measure, cut, and shape materials such as lumber, plywood, or steel to create formwork for concrete structures
- Set up and align formwork according to project requirements, using hand or power tools
- Pour concrete into the formwork and smooth it using various tools such as trowels or screeds
- Strip formwork after the concrete is set and clean up work area
- Inspect completed forms for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Formworker in the construction industry
- Knowledge of different types of formwork systems and their applications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans accurately
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and aligning materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Physically fit with the ability to perform manual labor tasks
- Good communication skills

Salary: $1500 per month
