Data Analytics Specialist

We are hiring a Data Analytics Specialist to join our team in Svalbard. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing large sets of data and providing insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. This is a contract position with a salary of $1300 per month. Accommodation will not be provided, so candidates must have a valid biometric passport for travel to Svalbard.

Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and organize large sets of data from various sources
- Analyze data using statistical methods and visualizations
- Identify patterns and trends to provide insights on business performance
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data analytics

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
- Proven experience in data analytics or related role
- Proficient in statistical software such as R or Python
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with database management and SQL is preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Location:
This is a contract position based in Svalbard. Candidates must have the legal right to work in Svalbard or be willing and able to obtain proper work authorization.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month.
