Facade Engineer


A leading architectural firm in Akron is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facade Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building facades, with experience in design, construction, and maintenance. As a Facade Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of building facades, ensuring they meet safety, aesthetic, and performance standards. You will work closely with architects and contractors to develop innovative facade solutions that meet project requirements and budget constraints. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting site inspections and providing technical support during the construction process.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in facade design and construction
- Extensive knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other design software
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects to develop facade designs that meet project requirements
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide cost estimates for facade construction projects
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and reports for building facades
- Oversee the installation of facades on construction sites to ensure compliance with design plans
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify any potential issues or defects
- Provide technical support to contractors during the construction process
- Liaise with clients to address any concerns or changes to facade designs
