Turner/ Machinist


We are currently seeking a skilled Turner/ Machinist to join our team in Nairobi. As a Turner/ Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines and tools to fabricate metal parts, as well as performing quality checks on finished products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses
- Read and interpret technical drawings to determine specifications and tolerances
- Select the appropriate tools and materials for each job
- Measure and mark dimensions on workpieces using precision instruments
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Make adjustments to machine settings to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain machines and tools by cleaning, lubricating, and performing basic repairs when necessary
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues or improve processes

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Turner or Machinist
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and using precision measurement instruments
- Ability to operate various machine tools with accuracy and efficiency
- Knowledge of different types of materials used in metal fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks on finished products
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing processes
- Indian nationality preferred
