Instrument Technician



Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Os, Norway. This individual will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and control systems used in industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instrumentation and control systems, as well as experience working with a variety of tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain various instruments such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, and level sensors.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in instruments and control systems.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals to determine proper installation methods.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure instruments are functioning correctly.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to identify solutions for complex issues.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in instrumentation technology.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles and control systems.
- Experience working with various tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, etc.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience working with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Java or Python.

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of 1400$ per month.
