Milling Machine Operator


We are a leading manufacturing company based in Mombasa and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Milling Machine Operator to join our team. As the Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating milling machines to produce precision parts and components. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling machines according to specifications
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine machine setup and production methods
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Adjust machine controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut
- Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed for optimal performance
- Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections and make necessary corrections
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and perform routine maintenance on machines
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure production goals are met

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in machining preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience operating milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Solid understanding of machining principles and processes
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
