Surveyor Assistant

As a Surveyor Assistant, you will work alongside experienced surveyors to assist in the collection and analysis of data for a variety of land surveying projects. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in pursuing a career as a surveyor and is looking to gain hands-on experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup and operation of surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels
- Help with the collection of field data using various techniques, including measuring distances and angles, taking photographs, and recording notes
- Conduct basic calculations to determine elevation, distance, and other measurements
- Maintain accurate records of field data and observations
- Assist with drafting maps and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in surveying or related field preferred
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with surveying techniques and equipment is a plus but not required
- Proficiency in using CAD software is desirable but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain
- Willingness to travel for project assignments
- Excellent communication skills
Salary: $1400/month
