Bilingual Interpreter (English/Indian) in Las Vegas


We are seeking a skilled and professional Bilingual Interpreter (English/Indian) to join our team in Las Vegas. As an interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between English-speaking and Indian-speaking individuals in various settings such as business meetings, medical appointments, court proceedings, and more.

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and efficient interpretation services between English and Indian languages
- Act as a cultural liaison to ensure effective communication between parties
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Prepare for assignments by researching subject matter and familiarizing with relevant terminology
- Ensure accuracy of interpretation by actively listening and clarifying any misunderstandings
- Take notes as needed during interpretation for reference and accuracy
- Adhere to professional standards of conduct and ethical principles

Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and an Indian language (Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills in both languages, including written skills
- Proven experience as an interpreter or related role
- Knowledge of medical, legal or business terminology is preferred
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure while delivering accurate interpretations
- Strong cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
- Flexibility to work varying hours including evenings and weekends if needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1700 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Las Vegas. However, due to the current pandemic situation, remote work may be required at times.
