Blast Furnace Worker

We are hiring a skilled Blast Furnace Worker to join our team in Bungoma. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a blast furnace and will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the furnace to ensure safe and efficient production of molten metal. This is a contract job with a salary of 1700$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor the blast furnace equipment according to safety protocols and standard operating procedures
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and other variables to ensure proper functioning of the furnace
- Adjust controls as needed to maintain desired conditions within the furnace
- Perform routine maintenance on the furnace, including cleaning and replacing parts
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during production
- Communicate with other team members to coordinate production activities
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience working in a blast furnace or similar industrial setting
- Knowledge of blast furnace operations, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Physical stamina and strength to work in a demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team

This is a physically demanding job that requires standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy objects, and working in hot environments. Candidates must be willing to work on a contract basis without accommodation provided. Candidates must also have their own valid visa for employment in Bungoma.
