Blast Furnace Operator


We are in need of a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Bungoma. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blast furnace, which is used to produce molten iron from iron ore, coke, and limestone. You must have experience in operating blast furnaces and possess knowledge of the equipment and processes involved. Your role will also involve monitoring production levels, troubleshooting any issues that may arise, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.

Responsibilities:
- Operate the blast furnace according to established procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor production levels and make adjustments as needed to ensure efficient operation
- Inspect equipment for any signs of wear or damage and report any issues to management
- Troubleshoot problems that may arise during production, such as blockages or temperature fluctuations
- Maintain accurate records of production data and report any deviations from expected levels
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the blast furnace

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 2 years' experience operating blast furnaces in a similar role
- Knowledge of blast furnace equipment and processes
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical diagrams
- Physically fit and able to work in a hot and noisy environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Biometric passport preferred but not required

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this position.
