Preservation Architect - Acre, Israel
We are seeking a talented and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Acre, Israel. As the Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures in Acre, a city steeped in history and cultural significance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed surveys of historic buildings and structures to assess their condition and identify areas that require preservation or restoration
- Develop preservation plans and strategies to ensure the long-term conservation of these structures
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to implement preservation projects
- Research historical documents and materials to accurately restore the buildings to their original state
- Oversee construction work to ensure compliance with preservation guidelines and standards
- Document all preservation work for future reference and historical records
- Collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to advocate for preservation efforts in Acre
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Preservation Architect
- Extensive knowledge of historic preservation principles, techniques, and materials
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other design software
- Fluency in Hebrew is preferred but not required
