Junior Database Administrator

We are in need of a Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Bergen. As a Junior DBA, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our database systems, ensuring their security and reliability. You will also assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise and help with database design and implementation. Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve database related issues
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement databases
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and proper access control
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in database management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Basic understanding of SQL, MySQL, or other relational databases
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with database design and implementation
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS or Azure

Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Bergen, Norway (visa sponsorship available)
