Entry-Level Database Administrator


We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Database Administrator in Bergen. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our databases. This includes monitoring database activity, performing backups and restorations, optimizing database performance, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of database management systems and SQL. A biometric passport is preferred but not required. We provide on-the-job training for individuals without prior experience in this field. Responsibilities:
- Monitor database activity and performance to ensure optimal functionality
- Perform routine backups and restorations to ensure data integrity
- Troubleshoot any issues with databases or related systems
- Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries and indexes
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new databases or make changes to existing ones
- Ensure the security of databases by implementing access controls and regular audits

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB
- Proficiency in SQL query language
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month for this entry-level position. Salary may be negotiated based on prior experience.

Location:
This position is located in Bergen but remote work options are available for exceptional candidates.
