Radio Technician

A reputable radio station in Bungoma is seeking a skilled Radio Technician to join our team. As a Radio Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing radio equipment, as well as troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise. Your role will also involve setting up new equipment and ensuring it meets industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in radio technology and possess strong knowledge of electronic systems and components. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent problem-solving skills, and can work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair radio equipment
- Troubleshoot technical issues with radio equipment
- Set up new equipment to meet industry standards
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on all radio equipment
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Communicate with other team members to coordinate repairs or installations
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in radio technology

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in electronics or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with radio technology
- Strong knowledge of electronic systems and components
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1200 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Bungoma, but we welcome applicants from other areas of Kenya who are willing to relocate.

Foreign Applicants:
We welcome foreign applicants who are fluent in English and have the necessary work permits or visas to work in Kenya.

Part-Time/No Experience:
This is a full-time position that requires at least 2 years experience working with radio technology. We do not offer part-time positions or accept applicants without any experience in this field.
