Mining Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team in Eldoret. As a Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of mines and managing the extraction of minerals. You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of miners and implementing efficient mining practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and design mines based on geological surveys and mineral deposits
- Oversee the construction of mines and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Develop and implement efficient mining methods to extract minerals
- Conduct tests and inspections to ensure quality control
- Monitor production levels and adjust processes as needed
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively
- Collaborate with geologists, technicians, and other engineers to optimize mining operations
- Maintain records of production, equipment, and personnel
- Train and supervise mining staff on safety procedures and proper use of equipment

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of mining software such as AutoCAD or MineSight
- Familiarity with safety regulations in the mining industry
- Ability to read maps, blueprints, and other technical documents
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members from diverse backgrounds

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Eldoret, Kenya (accommodation not provided)
