Head Chef
The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff. They will ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards, while adhering to health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a chef, with previous experience in a leadership role. They must have excellent culinary skills and be able to create new and innovative menu items. Knowledge of various cuisines, including Canadian cuisine, is preferred. The Head Chef must also have strong communication skills and be able to effectively manage a team. This position is located in Albena, Canada and the salary is $1500 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation
- Create new and innovative menu items while also managing food costs
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain inventory levels and place orders for necessary supplies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and special events
- Conduct performance evaluations for kitchen staff
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a chef
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Strong culinary skills
- Knowledge of various cuisines, including Canadian cuisine
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage a team effectively
Preferred:
- Canadian nationality or willingness to relocate to Canada
