Plastering Technician

As a Plastering Technician, you will be responsible for applying plaster and other materials to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces in buildings and structures. You will use various tools and techniques to create a smooth and even finish, ensuring that the surface is ready for painting or decorating. This role requires attention to detail and a steady hand, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning them, filling in cracks or holes, and removing old paint or wallpaper
- Mix various types of plaster according to instructions
- Apply plaster using trowels, brushes, or spray guns
- Smooth out any imperfections using hand or power tools
- Ensure that surfaces are level and even by using levels, rules, and plumb lines
- Create decorative textures or patterns using special tools or techniques
- Finish surfaces with sandpaper or other materials to achieve desired smoothness
- Clean up work area after completing job

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Plasterer or similar role
- Knowledge of various types of plaster and their uses
- Familiarity with different tools used for plastering work
- Ability to read and follow blueprints or instructions
- Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require standing for long periods of time
and lifting heavy materials
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Biometric passport preferred
- Willingness to travel for contract jobs

Salary: Starting at 1300$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

City: Svalbard (flexible location within Svalbard)

Contract Type: Full-time contract position
