Barista

Our cozy cafe in Nakuru is seeking an experienced and friendly Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting delicious coffee and tea beverages for our customers while providing excellent customer service. You should have a passion for coffee, be knowledgeable about different brewing methods, and have excellent communication skills. This is a part-time position with the potential for full-time hours.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other specialty beverages according to customer preferences
- Educate customers on different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Ensure high quality and consistent drinks by following proper recipes and techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Restock supplies as needed

Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds

Salary: $1500 per month (based on experience)

Location: Nakuru (Preference for Pakistani or African candidates)

Language Requirements: English fluency required
