Excavator Operator

An established construction company in Nairobi is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy construction equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth or other materials. This is a contract position without accommodation, so we prefer candidates who currently have their own visa and can legally work in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavator to dig trenches, foundations, and other excavations as directed by the site supervisor
- Load and unload materials onto trucks or conveyors using the excavator's bucket
- Ensure safe operation of equipment and follow all safety procedures on site
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to keep it in good working condition
- Keep detailed records of daily activities and report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Excavator Operator in a construction environment
- Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification
- Proficient in operating both hydraulic and cable-operated excavators
- Experience working with various attachments such as buckets, hammers, grapples, etc.
- Good understanding of excavation techniques and ability to read site plans
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time

Salary: $1100 per month
