Librarian (Indian Nationals only)


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team at our library in Dubai. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials, as well as assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials.
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries.
- Develop and maintain cataloging systems for the library's materials.
- Ensure that all materials are properly labeled and shelved.
- Keep track of borrowed materials and follow up on overdue items.
- Plan and implement library programs such as book clubs, author visits, and story time for children.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in literature, technology, and education.
- Collaborate with teachers to provide resources for classroom use.
- Train new employees or volunteers on library procedures.
- Handle administrative tasks such as budgeting and purchasing new materials.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a library setting.
- Knowledge of cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress Classification System.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patrons of all ages.
- Familiarity with various research tools and databases.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Salary: 1500$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Dubai
