Head Chef
As the Head Chef at our upscale restaurant in Alta, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations. You will work closely with the restaurant owner and management team to create and execute a menu that showcases our commitment to high-quality ingredients and innovative dishes.
Your primary responsibilities will include developing new menu items, managing inventory and ordering, training and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. You will also be responsible for creating schedules, monitoring food costs, and managing kitchen expenses to ensure profitability.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a chef, with a strong background in fine dining or upscale restaurants. You must have excellent leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure. A passion for culinary excellence is a must, as well as knowledge of current food trends.
In addition to your culinary skills, you must also possess strong communication skills to effectively work with front-of-house staff and management. You must be able to adapt quickly to changing situations and provide creative solutions when faced with challenges in the kitchen.
