Database Administrator for Global Company in Akron

As a Database Administrator for our global company located in Akron, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security. Your role will involve working closely with our IT team to troubleshoot any issues, plan and implement database upgrades, and develop backup and recovery strategies. You will also be responsible for monitoring database activity, optimizing system performance, and ensuring data integrity. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in database administration, experience with SQL Server and Oracle databases, and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain our database systems to ensure optimal performance
- Work closely with the IT team to troubleshoot any issues
- Plan and implement database upgrades as needed
- Develop backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection
- Monitor database activity to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Optimize system performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks
- Ensure data integrity by conducting regular audits of the database
- Troubleshoot any technical problems that may arise with the database system

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong technical skills in database administration, including SQL Server and Oracle databases
- Experience with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Knowledge of database performance tuning techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Akron but may require occasional travel to other locations.

Experience Level:
We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience. However, at least 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role is preferred.
