We are a leading steel manufacturing company based in Mombasa, Kenya and we are seeking an experienced Blast Furnace Technician to join our team. As a Blast Furnace Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces to produce molten iron used in the production of steel. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent technical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor blast furnace operations and adjust controls as necessary to maintain proper temperatures, pressures, and flow rates
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and perform necessary maintenance and repairs
- Load raw materials into the furnace and monitor their levels to ensure a continuous production process
- Remove impurities from molten iron using various tools and techniques
- Analyze samples of molten iron to determine chemical composition and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a blast furnace environment
- Strong technical skills with the ability to operate and maintain complex machinery
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects, work in high temperatures, and stand for long periods of time
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and effectively
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to working in a blast furnace environment
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Biometric passport or willing to obtain one

Salary:
We offer competitive salaries starting from $1100 per month for this position.
