Typesetter/Graphic Layout Designer

Our publishing company is seeking an experienced Typesetter/Graphic Layout Designer to join our team in Lisbon. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for various print and digital publications. You will work closely with editors, designers, and printers to ensure that final products are accurate, visually appealing, and adhere to company standards.

Responsibilities:
- Format text and images according to project specifications
- Proofread text for accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and printers to ensure project deadlines are met
- Make necessary adjustments based on feedback from team members
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and software updates
- Adhere to company style guide and branding guidelines
- Troubleshoot any technical issues related to typesetting or layout design

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or Graphic Layout Designer
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of typography, layout design principles, and print production processes
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting
- Fluent in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)

Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Contract job with potential for permanent position
