Entry-Level Librarian

The Al-Rayyan Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented and dedicated Entry-Level Librarian to join our team. As a librarian, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, organizing and maintaining library materials, and assisting patrons with their research needs. This position is ideal for freshers or individuals with limited experience in the field of librarianship. We welcome applicants of all nationalities and provide visa sponsorship for non-Qatari candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating and checking out materials
- Organize and shelve library materials according to established systems
- Maintain accurate records of library inventory
- Answer reference questions and provide research assistance to patrons
- Plan and conduct library programs and events
- Create displays and promote library resources to increase usage
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies, trends, and resources in the field of librarianship

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Customer service experience preferred but not required

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary starting at 1600$ per month.

Location:
The Al-Rayyan Public Library is located in the city of Al-Rayyan, Qatar.

Visa Sponsorship:
We provide visa sponsorship for non-Qatari candidates.
