Part-Time Librarian in Lisbon, Portugal



Are you a book lover with a passion for organizing and sharing knowledge? Our library in Lisbon is seeking a part-time Librarian to join our team. In this role, you will assist with managing our collection, providing reference services, and engaging with our community.

Responsibilities:
- Help manage the library's collection by cataloging and shelving books, ensuring they are organized and easy to find for patrons
- Assist patrons with reference questions, finding materials, and using library resources
- Plan and implement programs and events to engage the community and promote literacy
- Keep up-to-date on new books and materials, making recommendations for purchase to enhance our collection
- Maintain a welcoming environment by enforcing library policies and resolving any conflicts that may arise

Requirements:
- A degree in Library Science or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience working in a library or similar setting is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
- Knowledge of library systems and technology is a plus

Working hours:
This is a part-time position, offering 20 hours per week. Working days will be from Monday to Friday.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month. You will also receive free visa sponsorship and a round-trip ticket to Lisbon.
